art3mis
When using a RBD object, you can define initial Position, Rotation, Velocity as well as Angular Velocity. But what if you want to define an initial 'Rotational Velocity'? Can this be done using a simple VEX expression or?
mestela
Angular velocity is rotational velocity, unless I'm missing something (which is highly likely). From the docs: http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/nodes/dop/rbdpackedobject#initial-state Angular Velocity Initial angular velocity of the object. This is the axis of rotation times the rate of rotation. Speed of rotation is measured in degrees per second, so a value of 360 will cause the object to rotate once per second. catchyid
yes, rotational velocity is angular velocity... you could type HScript in the parameters to define them as you wish. I am sure there is a way to type VEX too but my question why do you need to do that? Is there something you can do in VEX and you cannot do in HScript? art3mis
thanks ,I assumed angular velocity had nothing to do with rotation
