art3mis
Can't get any consistent answers on how much swap space I need while partitioning. With 64GB RAM, do I really need 64GB or more of swap space? What if I hibernate?
lukeiamyourfather
If you're using Linux then I'd do 128GB of swap if you have room for it. Most of the time you won't need swap but it's nice to have in those rare occasions so you can save something or cancel something before it completely shits the bed. If you want to hibernate on Linux the swap has to be at least as big as the memory (plus any swap that's already in use).
