Atom Posted June 11, 2017 Share Posted June 11, 2017 (edited) One way is to just grab the shape of the fully compressed ball and time freeze it. Then create another object that blends between the original shape and the compressed ball shape. This way you can freely keyframe the blend to meet your requirements. This type of animation seems like a nice candidate for FEM.
