art3mis
Hi Trying to follow this older tutorial but am finding it impossible to duplicate the rounded corner effect using the NEW PolyBevel SOP which bears literally NO resemblance to the OLD one. Attached is a screen grab showing the OLD PolyBevel. Can anyone suggest what settings I should use to duplicate the same effect(assuming I am starting with the 4 corner edges selected)? Noobini
here's just one way...(I selected just 1 edge...but works with 4 too) Edited August 23, 2017 by Noobini
art3mis
Thanks! Now realize I need to thoroughly understand using the new Group SOPs:( Any chance you could post your .hip? I could only make it work through a minimum of 2 Group SOPs, the first to select by Points, then a 2nd to convert the Points to Edges before feeding to polyBevel. Noobini
no need...in the Group SOP, change Type to Edges, then simply click the 'paper plane' next to the dropdown arrow, then in viewport, select whatever edge...(or edges)...then press Enter....your edge selection would then show up in the Base Group field. (and I also change the Group name to edgetobevel...but you could just leave it as group1...as long as the Bevel is also using 'group1') Edited August 24, 2017 by Noobini
