LaidlawFX
There is a new tool on the game shelf to do it. Plus I have one on Orbolt https://www.orbolt.com/asset/LaidlawFX::RBDFBXExport::1.0 These both do rigid bodies. If you want to do skinned, import a working rig into houdini to see how it is set up and then you can export it out too. There are a bunch of forums post on this too. #1 make sure you are not using Apprentice, SideFX does not support FBX exports for that version. art3mis
Thanks but interested in soft body, single deforming meshes.
LaidlawFX
If you import a skinned object into Houdini, like a standard character rig. You can see how it is set up. This is way easier to see than explain. The alternative is a bone per a point rig. It seems you found the vertex animation method, which is cheaper anyways.
