RejectedMoose
Short problem and question; I have an object which is covered in fur - I've set a 'randomized' length of each hair strand. I do not want to simulate this one, only it to follow the object. Problem: The fur is "randomizing" the length(and placement?) EACH frame it cooks. I do not want this behaviour, I want it to stay in its same spot throughout the movement. Any one know about this? -Moose
Jesper Rahlff
can you share a hip file? makes a little easier to help troubleshoot
mawi
Sounds like you use the guidegroom SOP on a deforming object, this will regenerate each frame with a new seed. Groom on static rest and deform with the guidedeform SOP. If it still doesn´t work... A .hip would help to solve the problem.
