jmhannu
Hi all, I'm trying to save a geometry as .stl from Houdini to be 3D printed. It works but the problem is that the .stl model gets really tiny, it seems like it interoperates every Houdini-unit as a millimetre in "real world". Is there any way to change this? Now I have to rescale the file in another program before print but I'd rather not go through this step. I've tried to save the .stl both by right-clicking an output node and with the ROP Output Driver but I get the same size. I've also changed the preferences in Hip File Options to cm but that doesn't seem to affect the .stl at all. Anyone who has done any 3D printing from Houdini and knows anything about this? s4l4x
Easy fix is to scale presuming 1mm per unit then export.
Librarian
Long Time Ago (Houdini- GeoMagic - Materialise - Zcorp Printer Monochrome). Which Program you use for Printing . You have Free Version of Materialise with some Script's that make those Problems very easy to solve..
