robert.magee
There is a lighting challenge at CG talk where a model of a fruitbowl has been supplied as a starting point. One of our product specialists, Lisa Kelly, set up the model in Houdini and began adding shaders and lights. She only took it a couple of steps then posted the scene file on the Exchange. If anyone wants to get her scene file and take it further you can find it at: http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=8 If you want to post to the lighting challenge you can go to: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php...hting+challenge Robert Magee Product Marketing Manager Side Effects Software Inc. Mcronin
That challenge is over, they've started a new one... http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=315513 for anyone who wants to participate.... Is the default VEX Glass shader in Houdini fixed in 8? I seem to remember some discussion about it calculating IOR incorrectly, or something of that nature, in version 6-7...
