art3mis
Hi Following along in this older but still very much relevant H13 particles master class by Jeff Lait. Right at the 50:40 mark he demos an example with a torus falling on a ground plane and then using the torus as a particle source. Obviously there must have been changes in the how the DOP's work because I cannot get it to work. Can anyone have a look at the attached .hip and tell me what I am doing wrong? scene_170_sourcing_50min.hipnc Edited July 18, 2018 by art3mis
violalyu
Hi Art3mis, I think maybe one thing is that since it is a packed rbd object in your scene, when you try to source it it was only a point, I did a quick test and it was emitting particles at the center point; it worked as in the video when the torus is a RBD object instead of packed (as shown in attached example). Hope it helps! Best, Viola Lyu particleDopTest_vl.hipnc
