Ivavryniuk
Hi. I am trying to figure out the usage of the Basis SOP. The documentation and web searching hasn't given a clear answer. All I understand is that this node is intended to modify NURBS. But parameters tweaking don't give me a distinct effect on a geometry so I am slightly confused. How does it work and what is the usage for the Basis node?
Noobini
what about Help>Basis>Load (example scene down the bottom) ?

Honestly I don't know how I missed the example before, I had looked through this node's description several times (I want to believe that before update to Houdini 17 the link didn't exist in local help). But your post pushed me to do it again and this time my eyes didn't let me down. So thanks. Still a lot of confusing parameters for me in this SOP, but at least the example shed some light on its purpose. Noobini
tbh, i'm confused too...i know abit from Max Nurbs modelling with lofting...and Basis...and whatnot.....but it didn't help understanding it in Houdini !!
Krion
I do not see the example on the current documentation page of the Basis SOP. Has it been removed?
