Better passwords? 27883[/snapback] Sometimes it out of your hands entirely. My girlfriend/wife/boss admins a few online forums on her own webhost. The server she is on also has a couple other users from across the country. There has been times when the whole server was compromised via one of the other users. Once the server gets taken over all the sites get taken too. The best you can do is make sure your forum has the most up to date patches, keeping an eye out for 0-day exploits, and making sure you do backups regularly. And last I checked, FedEx and UPS won't deliver any more. . There are still things broken on the site from the time when the entire server was hacked, and although I feel really badly about it, there's very little that can be done.
