Yung Tokyo
Hi all, I am trying to figure out a way to let a vellum simulation interact with other simulations. In this case I want the vellum donut to collide with the chain simulation I made. My thinking was to do this through a dop import field. However there is no collision between the 2 simulations. Does anybody know how to achieve this interaction? Cheers! Chain+vellum.hiplc Edited April 24, 2020 by Yung Tokyo
Noobini
01) unpack your chain collider before feeding to vellum 02) up the cloth bend stiffness to something like 10000 (the multiplier) the collider will push vellum around, vellum won't push the collider back. Yung Tokyo
Ah cheers! That already helps a lot. So the interaction can only be one sided?
Noobini
yeah unfortunately for now...dig around you'll see a few threads complaining about this, You could make the chain an incredibly stiff vellum obj and try to sim them as vellum, but not ideal like what if you want real fractured rbd stuff ? here's a faked effect, dig inside and you'll see it's done in 'stages' rather than one mutual sim.
