Netvudu
Hi there. I have this vehicle which moves over the sand and I want it, of course, to leave a trail where it passes over. Let me explain my silly research history and where I

SpencerL
http://forums.odforce.net/index.php?showto...270&hl=sand This is a good thread that may help point you in the right direction. It uses the Spring SOP. Im not sure how complex you need it but this may be enough for what you are trying to achieve.
edward
Can you not combine particles with magnet? The particles leave the trail and you just ray it onto the ground to do the Magnet deformation by copying metaballs to the particles. Netvudu
wow, so many things to try in such a short time...thanks ppl. I will try some of this stuff asap. MIguel P
But your method looks very interesting, so I was wondering....could I export the displacements as part of the geometry...maybe using a Bake VEX? That would allow me to use displacements while still exporting the terrain as geometry... You can use the image sequence generated in the render to do a displacement shader in lightwave, like if you do it in VEX.
