nodelocked content

You should be able to get at the content inside any locked node by right-clicking the node and selecting "Allow Editing of Contents".
Alternatively, if the node you want to edit inside is a node you'll often want to edit you could go right-click a HDA and select "type properties", then go to the "node" tab and edit the "editable nodes" list. Any node inside the HDA added to this list will be editable even when the HDA is locked.
