jjstanley
I am trying to get some simple fur happening and something is not right with it. When I comb the normals everything appears to be fine and looks good, but when I copy on the hairs some are correct, some lay flat and some go the opposite way! I have done this before and never had a problem but this just has me stumped. Any ideas?
stevenong
Do you have a SOP modifying the Normals before the copy? I will bypass them one by one to see which is the culprit. Good luck! Cheers! steven
Jason
Are you using the Fur SOP? Or just the Copy SOP? It kinda looks like your input single fur is along the wrong axis.. just make sure its lying along the Z-axis. If you're not using the Fur SOP, try it It's pretty good. Cheers, Jason PS. If you're using a Line SOP, its default it Y axis and you must change it if you're going to Copy it onto a template input's normals.
