brandonY
i been experimenting, and i was curious if it was possible to get values from cops to to drive shader values? Then apply the shader to any Sops i wanted? forgive some of my weird questions.. im probably over thinking things.
edward
You should assign attributes to the SOP geometry based on COP information first. Then the attributes can drive your SHOP.

Jason
thanks that worked out. You may also not know that you can import images directly from COPs into texture maps for shaders using a special syntax in your texture map fields. op:/img/img1/file1 ... will import the image generated by that COP into Mantra and render with it. Caveat: Be aware that these images are not filtered (they're in pic format internally, not rat); so a high-frequency textures may buzz at a distance.
