philippecounter
Hello everybody :) I have a little problem, I'm trying to deform my fabric along a curve. I tried the path deform, but it flattens my shape every time... The only solution I've found so far is using the vellum brush, but it's long and I'd like a more "procedural" method... Ideas ? Yader
You need to prepare your geo, so it's interpreted correctly by the pathdeform. Zero out rotation and translation by utilizing xform from the bound sop.
philippecounter
thank you very much ! I didn't really know about xform, I have to investigate thanks
Follyx
BTW: the most elegant way of course is using vellum. Give it a try... and if you are not satisfied with the onPath solution use yout own Velocity field with 2 vectors: one for the path direction, one for pushing it inward to the path. i.e. Tim van Helsdingen: Better curve force As vellum is point based solver you are able to use all the fine POP nodes for artdirecting your path movement...
