5DNick
Dear Forumers, I need to do a snowstorm blowing around a person. I have the idea for the FX down, but if I end up with a bunch of moving, flowing particles how would I render them best in Karma? Thanks Nick Edited August 9 by 5DNick misnaming
madebygeoff
Karma will recognize points with pscale attributes. No geo needed. Just import your particle system with some randomization in pscale into solaris, adjust pscale if necessary, add material and render. If you need geo use the point instancer to instance some simple geo onto FG points.
ryew
As an additional tip, rendering with curved motion blur will also help sell the swirling motion of the particles blowing around the character (numerous tutorials online for setting that up if you haven't already).
