sipi
The motion of the foam layer reminds me of 2D fluid sims. Maybe the foam particles are advected by a 2D fluid sim. I don't see the foam's motion in the water. The water can be a simple grid with displacement. The foam particles would also get this displacement in post to match the waving motion of the water. Interesting how the little separate foam islands join into the main swirling foam. Maybe i'm wrong, but it seems like there are places where they just disappear as they join in... this could only mean one thing... but i don't know what. Just shooting in the dark. I love the shading and lighting of it. Edited April 19 by sipi

What is the solution you ended up with?

Any way I found good solution it still need refining but works fast foam test Hi I‘m pretty much done with all dynamics, but I‘m struggling to get the bubble-foam material right. I use Karma cpu and I really can‘t manage to get the material correctly. My bubbles are just too specular, too bright and no matter what I change I dont get the look. Also a uniform volume brightens it up in a way I dont want. First I thought it may be my bright light and the bluish water, but no, its not and I have no idea what else I could tweak. dot product, specularity by pscale, diffuse by these attribs, all of this approaches weren’t successful. Do I need to switch to MtlX? For me its a pain atm and would appreciate some help. The trade between thin specularity and bright foam with dark holes seems so difficult and I find 0 resources on this topic. Thank you
