I have to admit I really like Boris Iofan's stuff ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Soviets ) but I really think form should follow function in Architecture...I live about 100 feet from this piece of crap > http://andrewblum.typepad.com/photos/uncat...ge_ocad_ext.jpg
photex
whoa! what is that!? My mind is blown by this 8bit rice-crispy-treat of a building. :shocking: Yes, the article is kinda long, perhaps I should've placed a warning. cool article...just skimmed it but I'll save re rest for the weekend...I have to admit I really like Boris Iofan's stuff ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Soviets ) but I really think form should follow function in Architecture...I live about 100 feet from this piece of crap > http://andrewblum.typepad.com/photos/uncat...ge_ocad_ext.jpg

edward
Well, it's kinda forgivable though that for an art school, to have its building totally form over function. In fact, it would be kinda nice so the artists trained there would go through and know what's it like to be on the receiving end of form over function.
