Marc
Hi Bartosz What kind of notebook is it? Especially what graphics card do you have? Thanks Marc
Bartosz Piękny
This is Hp 6710s (core 2 duo t5470 , 1gb RAM memory, graphic card: Intel GMA X3100 (965 Express chipset family). I think that is problem with graphic card, but how fix it?
stevenong
Hi, Basically, the card doesn't support OpenGL properly so you'll have to use the Windows OpenGL code to run Houdini. Set up an environment variable HOUDINI_OGL_SOFTWARE to 1 and you'll be using your CPU to run Houdini. It'll be slow but at least Houdini runs. You can search for HOUDINI_OGL_SOFTWARE in odforum or SESI's forum to find out how to set it up. There were other threads related to the graphics card you're using over at SESI's forum too. Good luck! Cheers! steven
