michael
I think that book is meant a bit more for people who have some experience with python... the two that I always hear about are: http://www.amazon.com/Learning-Python-3rd-...1665&sr=1-2 and http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Python-Nov...=pd_sim_b_img_5 but don't forget the huge amount of python stuff here: http://docs.python.org/
symek
Will this book help me learning python for the use in houdini? thanks.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/059600797...0AWHEDECVX0F6KV Yes, as Michael mentioned this book is for people who can code. But at the same time, there is no better way to learn codding as reading someone's code. This book is brilliant source of snippets. Worth to keep it around your desk. sy. daisuke
Any comments on the pocket reference book? http://www.amazon.com/Python-Pocket-Refere...7745&sr=1-
rjpieke
the two that I always hear about are:http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Python-Nov...=pd_sim_b_img_5 I can highly recommend this one! Very readable, which is unusual for a computer book
whalerider
I second that. Novice to professional + Python cookbook is the combo I like. Don't have the pocket reference one, but according to the amazon reviews it's good, but lack of index is an issue. I can highly recommend this one! Very readable, which is unusual for a computer book
