symek
These pdfs were already around. We were gathering() them from many sources and they meant to be available for download. There were something like a 30-40 different files. My self provided good half of it. And yes, some of them (like LSystem docs) are present in current Houdini's doc last time I've checked. Tamis
cool, i figure sidefx has even more old stuff around that might be useful. i understand some stuff is outdated but i guess any sorts of learning materials is cool to have or to look at. Even old techniques that aren't used anymore by Houdini are still cool to read because you can build them with vex and they might still serve purpose for your own tools. vmuriel
What about that papers, some info ?
symek
What about that papers, some info ? As I remember they were gathered by SoulVector. Don't remember where he (was) meant to put it. I still got something like a 60 small pdfs on disk. Find a right place and I can put it there. I think I don't have all of them unfortunately. SoulVector had more... Others got them also. It would be nice to have them all together on Wiki.
michael
as I said in a post ^ these materials are property of SESI - we can't offer them for download until we get permission from SESI - I've asked but haven't received a response yet... and again the utility of these documents is pretty limited... You're absolutely right, Micheal, but as far as I remember there was already the discussion on that 2/3 years ago and SESI didn't have any problems with it (did They?). Anyway, such an agreement is crucial here, that's clear.
abvfx
would anyone like to have a printed version of the current Houdini help? I know i would, i hate scrolling through PDF's and HTML files. (unless i had a notebook) I dont if one comes with Houdini Master but i would pay for the manual itself being an apprentice user.
michael
all the docs are html - AFAIK there is no 'printer friendly' version... this has been RFE'ed out the wazoo...but no action as of yet. H10?
