Stremik
Can anyone clear it up to me, how does directory in $HOME supposed to look like? Should it be identical to a directory setup in $HH ?(I'm talking about three folders in particular. These are "vex","shop" and "desktop" and everything that's inside them)
danteA
Pretty much. For example, if you're using houdini 5, then $HOME/houdini5 corresponds to $HH. dante
MG
I find it a bit odd aswell, the whole $HOME thing. Because when I change the directory of that environment variable it will also change the paths for a huge amount of other applications aswell. Which is what I don't want to happen, so I stick to the standard path and create my projects in there. What I hate of Windows 2000 is that the "user" directory has spaces in it!! ("C:\Documents and Settings\"!)

TheUsualAlex
I actually wondered why won't they name it "Profile" as it was in NT4 days...
