ofer
Hi, I modeled this robot based on a concept design I found on Feng Zhu Design site. I really liked it, because it is simple, yet interesting. Since I want to practice my shading/texturing skills, I though this robot is a good place to start. For now, everything is modeled with Houdini. I think that for UV mapping I'll have to export some parts to modo, and add the UVs there. But maybe not. Anyway, here are two quick AO renders. ofer
I think I'm done. Now I'll finish the rig, and wrap everything to an asset. I have a strange problem with OTL I created. It has one float parameter, and every time I select a node of its type, this parameter pops back to 1. And another strange thing, the viewport is not updated until I actually touch the parameter. I tried to delete and recreate the asset but it didn't help. Maybe its because Im trying to create several assets in one OTL?
ofer
I created a rig and a quick animation. For now, I rendered it with low-res textures and low-res camera and shading quality 1. I noticed that in low-res renders, the shading quality and texture resolution doesn't make much difference. 2.mov
