ofer
Hi, Im working on some kind of a mechanical machine. I don't have a very clear goal, I'm just trying to make it as procedural as I can. In this video you can see a few chains and gears. I have a HDA for each chain, with it I can control the placement of the gears, their size, number of teeth, the teeth shape. The size of the chain links and their number is driven by the gears radius. And there is a single parameter to rotate the chain and the gears. I will continue to add more stuff to it. Maybe taking it to a steampunk style machine. 2.mov
ofer
OK, I think it will be a flying machine. I started working on the rotor. The blades can rotate in two ways. I think the mechanics are working, and I just need to add some details. 3.mov

kumpa
good job man, i can imagine how effective one might be when building some sort of mechanical something with many such otls at disposal. Keep on debugging it Edited January 21, 2009 by kumpa

Keep on debugging it Build up that gears.otl into something with a few styles and it'll be a good tool to enter the SteamPunk Challenge http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=
