digitallysane
http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news...m&px=NjkzOA Virtual machines might actually become interesting if this works reliably. Dragos
edward
Surprisingly, I've been able to get Houdini to startup under VirtualBox on a Windows host with a Linux guest. Mind you, I didn't try to actually use it too much but at least it worked.
Marc
That's great news. I'll be testing that out pretty soon, I'm sure .
peterr
I've had real good luck with houdini in Winxp on Virtualbox. It seems to run very efficiently and the 3d side seems to work quite reliably. You need to add the extra features so the graphics work well. Now if someone would make OSX work in Virtualbox I'd be all set.
