michael
I tried to open the file but I got a ton of errors: Not enough elements found for parameter "point1" etc and the rotospline seems broken for some reason... sorry I couldn't help edit- I changed the rotospline|Image Tab from Add Plane = none to Add Plane = C, A (C:RGB, A) and this is my result: here
wildparky
Sorry & thanks Arctor Here is a another file. ( houdini5.5.36 version ) i think it seem like a proxy image. sometime it is correct image but most time not correct. and "Preferences/composite/TileSize" influence it. 'blur' is same state. test.hip

stevenong
I would suggest downloading the latest 6.0 and see if you still get the problems. Also, there are COPs tutorials available on the Sydney Vislab mirror. Cheers! steven

edward
If you're simply asking why the alpha is pixelated, then you can simply turn off the A button under Plane Scope in the Bright COP's parameter pane ... There does however seem to be cooking problems when trying to brighten the alpha plane using the mask.
