vmuriel Posted May 12, 2009 Share Posted May 12, 2009 To upgrade nvidia driver using Synaptic (from repositories): https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates I have used this to get the latest version (at this moment, 180.53) and all was fine. kumpa Posted May 20, 2009 Author Share Posted May 20, 2009 Maya hangs gdm in my case if i try to use marking menus while using compiz-fusion. Cant say i am surprised really, but after two weeks of running houdini extensively with compiz i haven't encountered any problems whatsoever. On top of that, i also put ati tv tuner card from 1998 so i can both watch tv and see image getting rendered at the same time on different desktops while on desktop wall...Well, i guess some people knows how to make things right and some just don't, and probably never will....Let me quote Mr. Ballmer and say: "I love this company" Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
