Project file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OcnVZQQEw1ZDmsIvVkgqRKMVwUxTNrID/view?usp=sharing I am experiencing an issue in Houdini with the Vellum Constraints node. I have it set to attach to geometry at the SOP level, and it works as expected alongside the Vellum Constraints Property node inside the Vellum solver at the DOPs level. Specifically, I have animated the stiffness value of the Vellum Constraints Property node to activate at frame 12. However, this causes the cloth to snap back to its initial position at frame 1, rather than maintaining its relative position at frame 12. My goal is for the constraints to generate relative to the cloth's position at frame 12 without snapping back. I attempted using the Vellum Constraints node set to attach to geometry at the DOPs level within the Vellum solver, but this did not yield the desired result. I believe I might be missing some crucial steps in setting this up correctly. Additionally, I received a suggestion to use a SOP solver inside DOPs to dynamically solve constraints at frame 12, but I am unsure how to implement this. I have attached the HIP file for reference. Any guidance or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

I've probably overthought this and missed the obvious--I have multiple different groups of points (a changing number, this has to be scalable), and I want to create polylines between the border points--essentially connect adjacent pieces, but only pieces that are not in the current group, instead of only pieces that are. (The end result is creating prims to use as glue constraints in a grain setup connecting clusters of points. Because there are gaps between the chunks (and those gaps are where I want to form my polylines) using the connect adjacent pieces doesn't work because all adjacent points are found before the necessary distance has been covered. It's for a softbody tearing sim using grains for point deformation to compensate for vellum welds not accommodating solid objects--project file in this post: )

Hi y'all, I wanted some advice on vellum balloons being attached to a string then popping (see reference below). So I can do the whole pressure thing and attach it to a string etc, but I wondered how to make the balloons automatically float upwards without just reversing the gravity. I don't want to just use a force to push them upwards, as it would look odd when they pop and don't fall to the floor. Any advice or example files would really be appreciated! Thanks, James
