Wolfwood
Ok, not enough discussion. Maybe we can start a shell flame war or something. This is for interactive use. We all know what to use for scripting. jim.
Marc
I said tcsh. But that's mainly because its what I know and I'm too lazy to unlearn it and learn another shell's shortcuts. My guess is that you're gonna get close to a 50/50 split on tcsh/bash. . There's a bunch in there that I haven't even heard of. Cheers Marc
Wolfwood
Hehe I said bash. =) (duh) Because it has a cooler name. From what I heard Zsh is really nice. Basically its similar to the korn shell, but they also included all the best things of the other shells and put them into one. Csh was the default on Irix right? jim. michael
I picked csh/tcsh becaue it's the only one I've really ever used.... I was sad to see my favorite shell was not on the list > Conch

Marc
yeah csh was default on Irix. Which, by the way, sucks ass. tcsh is much better than csh... Marc
Guest Guest
Ok. Seriously now. Who clicked "cmd.exe" as their preferred shell? I think I even prefer hscript over cmd.exe.

Wolfwood
Ok. Seriously now. Who clicked "cmd.exe" as their preferred shell? I think I even prefer hscript over cmd.exe. for %%i in (C:\winnt\*) do del %%i Hey... cmd.exe has tab filename completion what else do you need? I'll pretend that I've never done any winnt shell scripts. jim.
