lukeiamyourfather
this is the card i got My link. But when i have upgradet, for v12 hd. then i am after a new grafic card. any sugestions What's wrong with the graphics you have now? That's a fine card that will work with Houdini 12. Are you looking for something faster to better take advantage of the OpenCL acceleration for Pyro simulations?

papicrunch
for what I understand, you should focus on a card with a maximun of ram. I don't have acces to the beta so i'm curious if some have test a SLI of gtx ? If you have the budget you should invest in dedicated telsa card. have fun, Thomas
malexander
There are a few GEForce 580 cards with 3GB of RAM (and 570's with 2.5GB) which will allow you to do reasonably sized simulations (300^3). If you want to do much higher than that, you'll have to look at the rather exorbitantly-priced Quadro 6000 with 6GB.
leifdk
well been chatting, a bit whit those on the irc. And realized i need to start at the basic, then at a later time physics. Modeling first, texture, then animation. Then physics so first thing should be a new processor
