How to edit existing curves non-procedurally?

Sometimes I create a new curve and then after I am done creating it, I realize I needed to add a few more points in some parts of it, but I don't want to do it procedurally. So I want these points to also be part of the original Curve SOP.

Is this possible?

Thanks :)

use ~ when the sop is selected and highlighted to go back into construction phase.

Thanks but that erased all the existing points. It allows you redraw it from scratch right?

I just want to insert a few more points into certain sections :)

found something i did months ago ( post #10 ):

it is a pure string-manipulating-technique , but can spare redoing things 'up to that point'.

=)
