hatrick
Hi, anyone has infos about this new processor tech in conjunction with rendering - simulation? http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/high-performance-computing/high-performance-xeon-phi-coprocessor-brief.html Cheers Lucas
lukeiamyourfather
Intel Xeon Phi supports OpenCL so in theory Houdini could utilize it for some tasks like Pyro simulations, not sure if anyone has tested them though. I think if I were to spend that much on a parallel processor I'd just get a FirePro or Quadro card so it could be used for OpenGL for the viewport and/or OpenCL, rather than just OpenCL.
