old school
- When you are beyond the simple "wire SOP nodes" in your dreams solving problems to full 3D visualization of data through the various networks and come up with the best solution and then wake up and verify in Houdini and yep, done. - When your wife threatens to flush your phone when you respond to SESI or OdForce forum posts at 2am... - When tab-typing doesn't have a hope at keeping up with the ideas in your head. - When tab-typing madly causes a lost UI event and you spew keyboard shortcuts ruining your entire session in the blink of an eye.

malexander
- When your wife threatens to flush your phone when you respond to SESI or OdForce forum posts at 2am... I get, "why are you still working?!" ... "I'm not, I'm just trying something out..."
kgoossens
Hmmm this might add a whole new interesting topic. Houdini vs family.

I would love to access your dream operator library Jeff You are probably running H1000 real-time all-parallel edition with unlimited memory on your mind.
csp
...when AttribWrangle is the most common node in your network ...when for you proceduralism is not an option but the only way ...when you are not using shelf tools (except of your own pipeline tools) ...when your wife starts talking abstractly about vex, scatter, vops, flip, etc. just to freak you out.
fragmentzero
- When you subconsciously keep pressing "tab" to create nodes in Unreal engine or any other node based editor and wonder why doesn't it work. And after realizing you think, why don't they add tab menu as a feature. - When you hesitate to collapse modifier stack in 3ds Max, wishing that maybe there is a chance to "simulate" node graph in there, and then get disappointed miserably. pbarua
- when you use Houdini "help-browser" as web-browser. That's pretty hardcore And with H14's multi-tab option, love is on it's highest level. It will be nice if they can add bookmark option too to make it perfect replacement of web-browser.
