carlo_c
Hello all, Been learning how to use Houdini for most of this year, I don't really get any opportunity to use it on a daily basis as I work mainly in Arch Viz currently so it's been a slow and steady evening/weekend schedule of learning and tinkering. This is my first finished project that hasn't been following a tutorial, there's so many gaps that you learn to fill when working on something of your own rather than a tutorial so it was quite the learning curve but hugely fun at the same time. Thanks for reading/watching!
Atom
I think it looks great. But wait no one is at the controls ahhh! How did you handle/setup the rotor blur? Edited October 21, 2015 by Atom
carlo_c
Haha it's one of those remote controlled helicopters... The rotor blur was pretty simple actually I just ticked the motion blur flag on the object, and I added a parameter on the object for the xform time samples to override the scene setting since it was moving so fast it needed a higher sample rate. The animation for the rotors was even easier, just put $FF in the rotation and multiplied it by a high number until it looked good.
