Atom
Hello All, I am working on a concept that needs to show a brick wall being built brick-by-brick. I also need to show mortar in-between but that is not as important and would be considered a secondary feature. I realize I can just take a box and copy it down a line. But I would like something more exciting. How could I have bricks drop in from above, into their appropriate slots, taking into account the odd/even stacking requirements of a brick wall? Thanks Edited March 4, 2016 by Atom
mestela
There's two parts to that question (maybe 2 and a half): 1. Build a brick wall procedurally, a search of odforce should find a few answers for that 1.5 sort the bricks (or more likely the points you copy the bricks on to) so that point 0 is bottom right, last point is top left. Likely whatever method you use in step 1 will do this anyway, otherwise a sort sop 2. Procedural animation to drop bricks in place. One of the 'bees n bombs' posts should give you ideas, the spinny boxes forming boxes one I reckon.

Atom
Thanks Matt, that looks great! You can get a lot of different animation styles out of the three controls you have added. Edited March 5, 2016 by Atom
