mosssi
Hi guys I'm trying to simulate two tall buildings destruction like the attached image. So I fractured my entire blue building and the wing of the red building and I made a lot of constraints with different strength and break forces. The plan is to make it stylish that the blue building collapse as height of the green rectangle and the wings of the two buildings fracture apart and few pieces in entire buildings. But in all different situation that I tried, the blue building starts to rotate counterclockwise after colliding with the red wing. So do you guys know how should I approach this problem? Thank you in advance
Atom
You can try a different Global seed in your scatter that generates the fracture points. This should result in a different simulation. Do you have any forces other than gravity involved? Edited March 11, 2016 by Atom
mosssi
Hi Atom NO I dint have any force beside gravity. And I dont realise what you mean about different sims. Can you please expand it a little more? Thanks
Atom
The fracture pattern is generated based upon where the points are scattered. If you change where those points are generated, by changing the Global seed, your resulting pattern will be different. When you simulate the new chunk pattern will produce a different animation. Can you post an example HIP demonstrating the problem? Edited March 11, 2016 by Atom
mosssi
Thanks Atom, The hip is really huge so maybe I should build a simple one. And I understand your idea now but I don't think that should help. Because the pieces are really small and the pattern could not change dramatically. Also I thought about two sims method. Let me see what can I do and I will post again tomorrow.
