aracid
hey all thanks for the reply's but maybe i wasnt clear enough about what i wanted to do, basically what u would achieve with a blend shape sop, moving between different poses. in maya u move into component mode and select ur vertex or point add a key etc. i would think that u can just key the edit sop, but i havent had any luck with that. thanks again aracid
Jason
I'm afraid unless you are (crazy enough to be) keying Transform SOPs, the accepted paradigm is to you edit up your target shapes and BlendShapeSOP them together. It seems a little more awkward but you'll find that the blending will be much easier to control just by animating weight shapes rather than trying to handle hundreds of channels representing the animation on each point of a surface. Hope this helps a little, Jason

edward
Aw come on, that's no fun! Use an add sop to create all your geometry and then animate the point positions there! In H7.0, there's the new Morph tool that should help a bit should you cowardly decide on the blendshape route.
sibarrick
Bring the points into chops and use the graph editing tools there, then export the result back to sops!
