FEM flesh rip

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with making flesh rip with fem.

Problem that I encounter is that solid objects always are made from tets, and it`s hard to get rid of this edginess.

Any tips how to avoid that and achieve something like Erik Ferguson is making?

Here`s how far I am. Few screens and a hip.

Any help/advice appreciated!

Thanks

Found this thread:

Basically guy is trying to achieve same thing.

I also tried the offered solution with grains, which worked quite well for slicing to be honest, but it doesn`t work good when something is being stretched.

Any ideas about Erik`s setup would be appreciated.

Thanks

Janis

With a little help from Erik himself, I finally managed to make this effect work for me. Now implementing it into the scene. Thanks a lot Erik!

Here`s the node tree to anyone who`s interested :)

I don`t have it anymore. But setup is not so complex. Have a look at the screenshot of node tree and give it a go.
