art3mis
Confused by the purpose of the Save to Disk button on the Output node inside the DOP network when creating any pyro sim. Quote $HIP/sim/$HIPNAME.`opname("..")`.$SF.sim There is no corresponding Load file from disk and the parent DOP network already has a Cache to disk option. Why would you manually save out a DOP sequence as .sim files?
Atom
It looks like it might be useful for wedging. I don't know a lot about that, however. Now that we have VDBs it makes more sense to just dive into the pyro_import and drop down a File Cache node and write out a .bgeo.sc or .vdb instead. I personally don't see a use for .sim files yet.
