Atom
I have this simple spaceship shape. When I apply a subdivision surface it rounds out quite a bit. I don't mind some of the smoothing effect but I was hoping to keep some of the hard edges as well. I thought if I could Blendshape both versions together I might find a nice middle ground. I have setup both sides of the Blendshape so they have the same number of primitives and points. I have even sorted the primitives and points but when I move the Blendshape slider, the whole thing falls apart and looks terrible. Is there some better way to approach this kind of model mixing? Noobini
got partially there...dunno why some couldn't find their 'id'....hence in the Blend, they go to Origin. BLENDSHAPE_SPACESHIP_Partial.hipnc
f1480187
For such kind of problems I use Match Topology node. For your case creases will work better. crease_subdiv.hipnc
