stu
I was telling Michael recently that I felt bad that I hadn't posted anything here in a while, so here's what I've been up to recently (who am I to say no to a Star Wars project? ). This shot isn't done yet, but it'll give you the general idea (with sound): animatic_render_high_24fps.mov Modeled, animated, lit, and rendered with houdini. DaJuice
Wonderful models stu, the detailing is lovely great. There better be some HD sized renders coming down the line.
stu
Wonderful models stu, the detailing is lovely great. There better be some HD sized renders coming down the line. Thanks all, I'll be sure to post some bigger images as work moves along. One of the interesting things that I discovered was that it was more efficient at render time to model the black ribbed detail (the original model makers used an off the shelf material called "koolshade") on the TIE's wings with legitimate geometry than it was to do it with displacement maps.
