Bennell 0 Posted September 1, 2018 (edited) I'm wondering how I can copy parameters from the octagon to fractured pieces like the ones shown below the octagon? Edited September 1, 2018 by Bennell
AntoineSfx 33 Posted September 2, 2018 Can you explain what you mean by "copy parameters from the octagon" ?
Bennell 0 Posted September 2, 2018 (edited) I mean bringing parameters(uniform scale, divisions) as well as the center point to the pieces individually while maintaining their shapes. Edited September 2, 2018 by Bennell
AntoineSfx 33 Posted September 2, 2018 so do you want the final pieces to be octogons, or just to have a somehow similar topology ( 2 rows, a few columns..)
Bennell 0 Posted September 3, 2018 A similar topology.
Noobini 686 Posted September 3, 2018 can't quite see where this is going.....why don't you just use copytopoints...copy the octagon to the scattered points....you can't get anymore 'similar' than that...
JP Shep 10 Posted September 4, 2018 Noobini is correct, if you're trying to get octagon's on each of the points on your grid: have a [grid], drop down a [scatter], drop down a [copystamp] or a [copy to points], then plug in the scattered points and your initial octagon shape, bam multiple octagons.
