khasperha
Hello everybody ! well i'd like to know if i can do a rendering lens flare in Houdini like lightwave? without do a composition. thanks. khasperha
Overload
Never tried...but from prior and current experience, doing it in post/compositing is always best. Otherwise your pinned down to it, and may have to re-render if you don't like the outcome...which sucks Just my 2 cents.. Anthony
Moose
There's a lensflare shader available from here - http://www.camf.com/ I haven't tried it, but maybe it's what you're after?

bloogyct
Hello, we are also investigating in render lens flare tools now, and I would like to check out the lensflare.otl linked by Michael. Anyone know if there are any docs to it - I have messed around a little, but am not getting much joy, either from it attached to the atmosphere/fog or to a volume generated from a sphere. Most I can get is a faint flow from a light when attached to a sphere volume. Thanks Sandy
