sant0s81
Hello I play around with the H18 feature "Pyro Source Spread" and its really cool. Still need to understand a bit how to get the right speed etc. But one thing I dont understand: How can I let the flames die after some frames? With my setup at the moment the flames burn forever. Do I have to tweak that in the settings of Pyro Source Spread or in the solver? Oh and something else - my flames always have force to the center. So the flames behave more like a small camp fire. I guess its about the scaling? Or is there something I can tweak, to lower the attraction force of the fire itself? Thanks alot!
Atom
Just guessing, but fire burns because you continue to supply fuel. Try animating the activation, for an abrupt turn off, or gradually reduce f@fuel at the SOP level.

With my setup at the moment the flames burn forever. On Fuel tab set Injection and Postburn rate to 0, so that there is no new fuel injected then you can ballance Initial Fuel amount vs Burn Rate to determine how long the fuel per point is going to burn for, once burned it will die off since there is no injection also you can adjust Diffusion rate to adjust the speed of the spread
