create hda with outside network?

so i create a subnet with a few options in the parameter interface.

outside that - i created 3 options joined by a switch.

so i have 2 questions.

1) how do i create an HDA that keeps my current menu from the subnet and include that with a menu for the switch? i hope i am asking that right.

2) rather than having a slider for the switch - is there a way to create a toggle button for each option?

You can just create a parameter to control the switch (integer with 0,1,2 or a menu for example) or drag and drop the switch parameter in the Parameter Interface.
edit: ah, just saw you dont want a slider
a toggle, at least I think so, makes no sense since the switch only goes for 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 etc...
Dont know if a switch could also have 0 and 3 at the same time.
Maybe try with a menu?

And check the screenshot to disable that option:
