Hey SWANN, have you noticed how different (improved!) the quality of the image gets when you increase the Shading Quality of your objects? On most of the ink NPR renders I've tried with Mantra, it's very sensitive to Shading Quality.

I will look closer to this.

Thanks

EDIT: Ok, here is the ShadingQuality Fight. Whitch is better ? Hm, let me just say that at 4 it renders about 8-10 minutes, I guess, on 1 it's only 44 seconds

Great pineapples!

I didn't have the time to put any UVs on the shader, that might be why it looks like that when you use the displace.

I love the images! hehe, thanks for posting them... please keep them coming.

I added uvs for camera version but i it has to many parts to just add one to all to look good, that why I unpluged dots.

Added uv to the version with displacement, a little better now, but still not the best results, maybe different mapping will help(especially for balls), or you can play with uv scale or with shader inside...But this is the story for another day. Now I have to look/learn how this shader is done.

Cheers.

Could you explain this funtion:

$dangle = max(abs(Du($x))+abs(Dv($x)), $MINFILTER);

You just taked this function from somehere or it's all your Idea ?

InlineVOP takes inputs name from every $something from our function, right ?

So I can name it $whatever if it only follow function syntax, right or  not ? If yes, why when I change name it show error ?

Or maybe it shows error because MINFILTER is function not name you think up from nowhere, so it has to be named like this ? But it shows error even if I change x to something else.

Or maybe I make error somewhere in my thinking ?

Thanks

Hi Swann,

I guess Sybarrick will have to help you on that one.

As I mentioned on my post, that outline code I got from him LINK. All I did was the cross hatching.
