Ratman
Thanks everyone over at SESI, briefly went over the videos and they are great, I'd been trying to go more into these but couldn't quite pass the barrier, but now i have . Keep up the great work and hope we can get some more in depth tutorials in the future Thanks, Ricardo
Jason
Thank you SESI - very much. Just to take it a little further, the method Calin is demonstrating is very much the basis of how these tools are designed to work at the most manual, purposeful way. Subsequently, although the results look excellent, the amount of setup time seems quite long. Calin also has great ideas for how to build these basic building blocks into HDAs which can build muscles in very quick point'n'click ways. Other extended ideas are to build easily targetable muscle groups that you can layer onto any humanoid characters. I have a little half-working version of an easy muscle HDA that I made a while that I should upload here or something just to propel some of these ideas forward. Althought Jason mantioned about HDA building blocks, and yes that is the final intent, I figured it would be useful to start with a couple of hardcore videos and explain what's happening under the hood. Why? well let's say I'll make a 3 point muscle HDA and all of the sudden you'll want 4 point muscle HDA, with this videos you will have the knowledge to modify the HDAs and create your own. Plus it may take a while till all the HDAs are in place and we didn't want to stall you from using the raw tools., especially now with Python I have to rewrite the autorig tools in python and there is also a quadruped autorig in the works. take care calin
symek
(...)especially now with Python I have to rewrite the autorig tools in python and there is also a quadruped autorig in the works. You can't imagine how jealous we are that you can use 9. already... I spoke to people who work on muscle system in other software(sic!) and their eyes were twice bigger after seeing you video-tutorials and your tools in action! Great work Calin! cheers! sy.
