nijhun
Hi - Has anyone tried to importing adobe illustrator file and solve removing holes inside the typography? (screenshot on imported logo) I couldn't find simpler solution, so I ended up just manually blasting 'primitives' inside the typography, and then polyextrude both typography and holes separately before boolean subtracting as solid objects. I also just 'remeshed' the whole thing to deal w/ surface normal for texturing. I wonder if anyone knows simpler approach to this? terencemace
In Illustrator make sure the text is only outlines. No shapes used to create a hole in the letter P. Then select all outlines. Group them. Save as Illustrator 8. For some reason Houdini likes this best. Add normals, and the Hole node will work. Just did a whole bunch of titles this way. nijhun
Thank you @terencemace! Hole node works great. @Librarian I tried NOPS, they are neat! Somehow after installing NOPs on my env file, houdini project files started to turn into hiplc files. Perhaps this is due NOPs not being official houdini plugins.
